Don’t judge the first photo. This is not a Japanese restaurant ok? That day I visited was not my first time, nor my second, nor my third at the restaurant but it was my first time to catch that wooden tray on my table. Many of you might wonder what that smoking tray is, just like how I wondered at first. Gloria Maris is the most famous Chinese restaurant in Greenhills. No survey involved, that’s only according to my observation and sources. I know they are famous for their authentic Cantonese cuisine. I actually assumed our round table to be served with authentic Cantonese recipes like Sweet & Sour pork, Stewed beef brisket and the like. It was my first time to step inside the fairly new massive property of Gloria Maris, albeit I've seen it during the rare times I was in Greenhills. From the outside, its size already gives you an idea of how big the whole place is, but until you find yourself in the middle of the dining hall, your eyes crawling up the grand spiral staircase, and finally staring up at the high ceiling, you wouldn't realize just how big---and impressive---is big. Chinese cuisine is like our family's trusted cuisine. For them, it's like you can't go wrong with Chinese dishes. As much as I want to try and explore other cuisines, it seems like I always come back to that particular taste that feels like home.
Gloria Maris Shark's Fin Restaurant is this famous restaurant in Greenhills that generated a number of loyal patrons and customers from the Chinese community. And now, they decided to expand and relocate to a bigger place and accommodate a bigger and wider market of foodies both from the Chinese and non-Chinese community. After attending two weddings at their newly built establishment this year, I was ecstatic to go back and sample more of their classic and new dishes. Let the feast begin.. READ MORE |

One of the best Chinese restaurants. Hands down to how they keep their food authentic and innovative. They catch any age, any generation. Our parents might not be adventurous to try innovative dishes, so authentic Chinese set menu are still available for them. For us, the younger ones, we are more inclined to discovering new things, new flavors. I discovered new dishes at Gloria maris, which i will post on my blog soon. The photo attached is one of them. Gloria Maris Sharks Fin Restaurant in Greenhills Gloria Maris Sharks Fin Restaurant is a mainstay in the Greenhills Shopping Center, but they recently transferred to a brand new building across Chili’s. I’ve been to their new location only once but I could see the same design elements incorporated like the grand staircase. Parking is also way better with lots of spaces in the basement and just an elevator ride into the restaurant.
Gloria Maris Sharks Fin Restaurant I got an invite to try out Gloria Maris Sharks Fin Restaurant’s new dishes. The lunch was held in on of their mezzanine function rooms. Each room is The first dish we had was the Abalone Sashimi (P3600). It arrived with pomp and pageantry, aboard a dragon headed wooden boat with smoke flowing out. It’s a bit of a misnomer to say this is sashimi since the abalone had already been blanched so it is in actuality not raw. READ MORE |

Despite the number, not all of it have the staying power like those who are now considered an institution in Manila restaurant scene. One of these Chinese restaurants that managed to stay up to now is Gloria Maris Shark's Fin Restaurant in Greenhills San Juan City. I am guessing most of you would agree, some of us grew up indulging in authentic Chinese cuisine that Gloria Maris in Greenhills offers. It has been there for years. Recent relocation and revamped on its menu reveals that the new Gloria Maris Shark’s Fin Restaurant in Greenhills is still in it for the long haul.
